Herbert Simon is considered one of the founders of behavioral economics, computer science, and artificial intelligence. His contributions to those fields, and cognitive psychology, were numerous. For example, he engaged in debate with Ulric Neisser about the nature of cognition and machine learning (artificial intelligence). He coined the term "bounded rationality" and made many contributions to economics, and, YES, Herbert Simon (then at Carnegie Mellon University) won the Nobel Prize in Economics for his work on “the decision-making process in economic organizations.” He also won the Turing Award, and many others.
